Johns Creek Police Investigate Armed Robbery, Burglary
Both incidents occurred during the afternoon and evening hours on Saturday, May 16.

Detectives with the Johns Creek Police Department are investigating two incidents in which jewerly was stolen from two homes in the city.

Around 11:21 p.m. May 16, officers responded to a robbery call on Kingshouse Commons.
According to the agency’s press release, the homeowners told officers they ”were approached by three men,” one of which was brandishing a firearm, while they slept on their back deck.

Police said the suspects went inside the house and stole cash and jewelry, all of which totaled about $75,000, the victims told police. The homeowners were not hurt during the incident.
A K-9 search and canvass of the area was conducted, which turned up nothing.
Earlier in the evening between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on the same day, officers responded to a burglary call of an unoccupied home on Rod Road. The victim reported someone entered the house by breaking a rear window and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
Police and crime scene investigators are probing both cases, and “there is no early indication that the two incidents are related,” the agency added.
