Johns Creek Police Organize Race To Benefit Special Olympics Georgia

The Johns Creek Police Department on Saturday will host a new race to benefit Special Olympics Georgia.

Johns Creek’s Finest 5k will be held May 23 at Shakerag Park. The race is a qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race, which is billed as the largest 10k race in the world. The 5K will start at 8 a.m. and after the event, runners can relax with healthy snacks and beverages.

Participants receive a T-shirt and are automatically entered into drawings for gift cards from local restaurants and businesses.

Residents can sign up at www.johnscreeksfinest5k.org. Registration costs $30, and the minimum age for participants is 10 years old.
