Johns Creek Ranked 62nd Safest City In U.S.
To get the rankings, they analyzed the frequency of property and violent crimes against the population of the city.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Johns Creek is among the 100 safest cities in the country, according to a recent study by Neighborhood Scout. Of all 100 cities on the list, Johns Creek came in 62nd.
The study was based on cities with 25,000 or more people and analyzed the frequency of property and violent crimes per 1,000 residents, according to Neighborhood Scout. They included crimes like burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, murder, rape, armed robbery and aggravated assault.
They took those numbers, which included crimes reported to the FBI, and combined them with the city's population in order to come up with a final number. The data comes from 2016.

The safest city, according to the study, is Ridgefield, Conn., which experienced only 72 property and two violent crimes. That's a rate of 2.95 crimes per 1,000 people. The city, which has just over 25,000 people, saw no murders, rapes or robberies in 2016.
By comparison, Johns Creek, which has a much larger population, saw 9.22 crimes per 1,000 people.

Milton also made the list, coming in 72nd.
