Johns Creek Residents Can Dispose of Unwanted Drugs For Free
The Johns Creek Police Department on Sept. 27 will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration's'National Take Back' initiative.

Dispose of expired or leftover pharmaceutical drugs on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Target in Johns Creek as part of the Johns Creek Police and Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take Back initiative.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., anyone with old, unwanted, or excess pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medicines can turn them in anonymously to officers in the parking lot of Target at 5950 State Bridge Road.

The event, sponsored by the Johns Creek Police Department in conjunction with the DEA, is designed to reduce prescription drug abuse, reduce the risk of prescription drugs entering the water and help people comply with the law regarding disposal of prescription drugs.
