UPDATE: Johns Creek Residents Can Recycle Bulky Items On Saturday
Residents will be able to drop off large, unwanted items as well as shred sensitive documents.
Johns Creek residents have less than two days to decide which items they plan to drop off during Saturday's Bulky Items Recycling Day.
The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17, allows residents to recycle furniture, home medical equipment and hard-to-dispose-of large items. Residents will also be able to properly dispose of sensitive documents.
A commercial document-shredder will be available for residents to use to get rid of old or sensitive records on-site, with a 10-box limit.
For the first time, people can bring used home medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds and crutches, to be donated to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children. People can also bring used clothing to be donated to needy families.
