Johns Creek Student Wins Drug-Free T-Shirt Slogan Contest
Mentor Foundation USA will honor Jack Somers at a ceremony on Friday at the school.

Mentor Foundation USA, in partnership with global fashion retail chain H&M, on Friday will recognize a Johns Creek High School student as the 2014 winner of its annual drug-free T-shirt slogan contest.
Jack Somers will be recognized during a ceremony set for 9 a.m. April 3 at at the school. Fellow student Evan Barnard will also be presented with the first-ever Living the Example Teen Partner in Prevention Award for his work as a member of the organization’s Youth Ambassador Network.
Thousands of high school students nationwide competed in this annual T-shirt slogan contest to express what inspired them to stay drug free today and in the future.

Johns Creek High School “outdid all the competition by not only having the first place slogan, but by submitting more slogans than of any other school in the country,” the foundation said in a press release.
The T-shirt with the winning slogan is now available for sale at HM.com, where 25 percent of all proceeds will benefit Mentor Foundation USA’s programs in prevention. Additionally, the entire sophomore class will receive T-shirts with the winning slogan distributed by H&M.

Mentor Foundation USA works to reduce the risk factors that lead to drug and alcohol abuse including poor academic performance, low self esteem, high school drop out, lack of goals, along with risky behavior.
