Johns Creek Student Wins Northside Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship
A total of $48,000 was awarded to help the 15 students pursue their education in various medical fields.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Northside Hospital-Atlanta Auxiliary announced that 15 students received a total of $48,000 in scholarship funds to assist them in pursuing their education in various medical fields.
This year’s recipients of the annual scholarships are Northside Hospital employees or their immediate family members, who enrolled in a health-related program at an accredited university, college, or health-related technical school.
“This is another vital program we provide to our Northside Hospital community,” said Michaelle Arkin, president of the NH-Atlanta Auxiliary. “Our Auxiliary scholarship program enables our employees, our volunteers, and their dependents the opportunity to further their education with financial help.”

The scholarships are awarded based on documented need and the number of qualified applicants. This year’s scholarship recipients are:
- Asha Ali of Powder Springs, who is a nursing student at Kennesaw State University
- De’Marcus Barnes of Hiram, who is pursuing a biology degree at Shorter University
- Megan Eisenberg of Roswell, who is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Armstrong State
- Jennifer Goss of Jasper, who is pursuing a BSN at Western Governor’s University
- Harrison Gunn of Roswell, who is in a Family Nurse Practitioner program at Troy University
- Nicole Ikara of Loganville, who is in a pharmacy program at Mercer University
- Kimberly Mayfield of Norcross, who is pursuing an MSN in Executive Nursing Administration at the University of South Alabama
- Lauren Oberg of Roswell, who is in a Family Nurse Practitioner program at Kennesaw State University
- Canelda Perry of Atlanta, who is a Family Nurse Practitioner student at Mercer University
- Luke Qin of Sandy Springs, who is pursuing a biochemistry degree at Georgia Tech
- Dorissa Rawls of Atlanta, who is pursuing an MSN – Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of North Georgia
- Jeunelle Robson of Johns Creek, who is a nursing student at Georgia College and State University
- Taiwo Soluade 0f Douglasville, who is pursuing an ADN at Chattahoochee Tech
- Corey Streetman of Decatur, who is a nursing education graduate student at Grand Canyon University
- Ora Williams of Grayson, who is pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration at Capella University
