Some 3,000 students from Georgia interviewed during three weekends in January and February, with 690 finalists chosen to participate. The program is funded by the Georgia General Assembly, so there is no charge for these students to attend. Students will arrive in Valdosta on June 23 where they will spend four weeks exploring topics not usually found in the regular high school classroom and attending seminars, activities, concerts and performances.
