Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra Reimagines Christmas Gala Concert
Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra will broadcast FREE virtual Christmas Gala Concert on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at 7:30 p.m.

Dress up fancy or throw on PJs. Either way, gather around with your family and stream the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra’s (JCSO) 15th annual Christmas Gala Concert, December 19, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. FREE on JCSO’s Facebook page (facebook.com/johnscreeksymphony).
The Christmas Gala Concert has been a beloved tradition for many Johns Creek families for 15 years. In order to continue the holiday tradition while minimizing the possible exposure of COVID-19, JCSO made the decision to broadcast this year’s concert online. While the concert may not be in person, guests can expect the same spectacular performances by JCSO musicians.
This year, Morehouse College Professor Timothy Miller, widely known for his moving interpretation of “God Bless America” at Atlanta Braves games, will be the featured performer thanks to Guest Artist Sponsor Stuart Perry, Farmers Insurance Agent in Johns Creek. To access the free performance, visit the JCSO Facebook page at facebook.com/johnscreeksymphony.

“The Christmas Gala Concert is a Johns Creek staple. The board and I knew it was important to continue the holiday tradition, and at this time the safest way to perform is virtually,” said Music Director J. Wayne Baughman. He continued, “We hope this free performance will bring joy to families throughout Johns Creek and beyond during this unique holiday season.”
While the concert can be streamed for free, JCSO depends heavily on grants from local and state government and donations from businesses and individuals to meet its operating expenses. This holiday season, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra by visiting www.johnscreeksymphonyorchestra.org/donate.
