Weather permitting, the paving will kick off Oct. 5 and run possibly until Monday, Oct. 19, the city said.
The work will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction, but traffic is expected to be heavy and slow.

The city noted it’s coordinating with the Fulton County School System and ”will be closely monitoring traffic flow, especially during peak school travel times.”
“Night paving was considered, but is too expensive and would be extremely noisy and disruptive for nearby residents,” the city added.
Once the repaving is finished, that section of Jones Bridge Road will be widened from two lanes and a middle turn-lane to four lanes with a middle turn-lane and medians.
The entire project is scheduled for completion at the end of October.
