Jones Bridge Road Widening Public Meeting Set For Jan. 19

Along with widening, plans also call for installing a 10-foot multi-use trail and rolling out operational improvements to intersections.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek on Thursday will host a public meeting on plans to widen a segment of Jones Bridge Road.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Johns Creek City Hall.

The Jones Bridge Road widening project includes widening the existing roadway between Sargent and McGinnis Ferry roads from two to four lanes for a 1.5 mile section of roadway. It also calls for the addition of a landscaped median and a 10-foot multi-use trail on the west side of the road.

The project also includes operational improvements to intersections such as turn lanes, revised traffic signals, and reconfiguration of the existing pavement to add two through lanes. The public is invited to view the proposed project plans, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Thursday's public input meeting will be informal, and residents can drop by any time during the aforementioned hours. Engineers will be on hand to answer questions from citizens.

The meeting will be held on the third floor at City Hall, which is located at 12000 Findley Road.
