Junior League of Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties to Host High Heels and High Times Fundraiser
Support girls' self-esteem at JLGNF's annual spring fundraiser on March 20
The Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton Counties, Inc. (JLGNF) is pleased to announce its eighth annual High Heels and High Times (HHHT) fundraiser. The event will take place from 12:30–4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, at the Marriott on 5750 Windward Parkway in Alpharetta.
JLGNF’s largest fundraiser, HHHT promotes girls’ self-esteem and provides an afternoon brunch, silent auction, fashion show and opportunity to shop with vendors. Last year’s event was attended by over 200 women, included silent auction items valued at over $32,000 and raised approximately $14,000 to benefit the “Strong Girls, Bright Futures” program and other league initiatives. In the league’s 30th anniversary, the 2016 event is expected to increase fundraising impact through strong partnerships and a larger community attendance.
The fashion show will feature JLGNF members and girls in grades 5-8 who completed the “Strong Girls, Bright Futures” workshop. Girls in the surrounding area applied to take part in the one-day self-esteem workshop led by league members. The workshop provided education and empowerment for preteen and tween girls regarding the value of intelligence, competence and education to assist in making positive decisions.
