Chattahoochee Student Signs To Play Softball at North Greenville

Chattahoochee High School's Samantha Kicklighter commits to play softball at North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Chattahoochee High School’s Samantha Kicklighter has committed to further her education and play softball at North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC, an NCAA Division II School which competes in the Conference Carolinas. Samantha has earned her 4-year letter in Varsity softball and is currently a 3-year letter in Track and Field.

Samantha was named to the All-Region First Team in 2014 & 2015, her Freshman and Sophomore years and Second Team in 2017, her Senior year. In 2017, she tied the single-season Homerun record at four and finished her Senior year with a .415 batting average.

She is a member of the Leadership Team of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and recently nominated by the coaching staff as a “Positive Athlete” in the Positive Athlete Georgia Program. Samantha has made the Honor Roll all four years and carries a 3.9 GPA.

Throughout her career at Chattahoochee, Samantha has won numerous honors, including the Best Defensive Infielder Award (Freshman year), Track and Field “Coaches Award” (Freshman and Sophomore years) and five Academic Athletic Awards (3 Softball, 2 Track & Field). She also received the Scholar Athlete award and the team Cougar award her Senior Year.

Samantha plays travel softball for the Team Georgia Organization, where her team has qualified and competed for Nationals the last 4 years.
