Kohl's Recognizes Johns Creek Student

He now qualifies for a chance to win a $1,000 regional scholarship that will be awarded in July.

The Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program on Wednesday recognized 69 students from Georgia, including one from Johns Creek, who have made a positive impact in their communities through volunteerism.

Malcolm Barnard, 17, was among the students who received a $50 gift card, a certificate and the chance to qualify for a $1,000 regional scholarship that will be awarded in July.

Other North Fulton winners included:

  • Tiger Greene, 15, Alpharetta
  • Cody Jackson, 10, Alpharetta
  • Emma Svitil, 12, Alpharetta
  • Alyssa Howard, 13, Roswell
  • Cameron Koporc, 9, Roswell
  • Catherine Peoples, 10, Roswell
From the nearly 200 regional winners that Kohl's plans to announce in July, 10 national winners will receive $10,000 each in scholarships. Additionally, Kohl’s will donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization on each national winner’s behalf.
