Lane Closures Start Tuesday For GA-400, I-285 Project
The Georgia Department of Transportation will implement the closures nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 3-9.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Now that the 2016 holiday travel period has come to an end, the Georgia Department of Transportation will once again implement lane closures for various construction projects.
Starting Jan. 3, work on the project to rebuild the Interstate 285 interchange with S.R. 400 will require some lane closures along I-285 in north Fulton County.
Here is what you can expect this week:

- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3: One right lane on I-285 eastbound from S.R. 9/Roswell Road to Glenridge Drive;
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3 through Monday, Jan. 9: One left lane will close on GA-400 northbound from Hammond Drive to Spalding Drive; and
- 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 through Friday, Jan. 6: One right lane on I-285 westbound from east of S.R. 400 to east of S.R. 9/Roswell Road.
Drivers should note the exact dates of the planned closures can change due to weather and other factors.
Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
