Lifeline Animal Shelter Slashes Adoption Fees
Fulton County Animal Services will cut the fees as part of its Give Shelter Pets a Reason to be Thankful promotion for November.
By Karen Hirsch
LifeLine Animal Project wants to give shelter pets a reason to be thankful, so we’re offering half off adoption fees on all dogs over 25 pounds and all cats during our November “Give Shelter Pets a Reason to be Thankful” promotion!
All of LifeLine’s shelters will be participating, including: DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS), Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS), LifeLine’s Dog House & Kitty Motel and LifeLine’s Cat Adoption Center.

All November, adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped for half off! Adoption counselors will be on hand at all shelters to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.
According to LifeLine Animal Project CEO Rebecca Guinn, the goal of the promotion is to increase the number of shelter animals who will find homes this holiday season. “All pets deserve a warm bed, a full belly and someone to love them, and in return they bring many positive benefits to a home,” she says.

Meet our first Pet of the Week, a pretty young girl named Shiloh. This one-year-old girl weighs 36 pounds, and is so full of personality, that she wags, wiggles and smiles most of the time. Shiloh is an intelligent girl who is eager to learn, and she loves to play with other dogs too. She is good with kids, and her happy nature is sure to add lots of warmth and sunshine to her new family. Shiloh is already spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, so she can go home with you today! Adopt her during November and receive half off her adoption fee. Come meet this loving girl today!
Our next Pet of the Week is Delilah, a sweet, petite girl who is three year’s old and weighs 32 pounds. When Delilah came into the several months ago, she was a very timid and scared dog. Since then, she has completely come out of her shell, and enjoys romping around and playing with her kennel mates in the play yard. Once scared of people, Delilah now approaches our staff to receive the attention and praise that she loves so much. She has come such a long way since coming to the shelter, and is now a happy dog who is ready to have a family who loves her. She would love for you to come by and visit today!
Our final Pet of the Week is an adorable three-month-old kitten named Poppy. This baby’s foster mom says that she is smart as a whip and loves to investigate everything. Poppy is also a professional sock hunter who likes to drag her prey under the bed where her foster mom often finds her missing socks. At night, Poppy’s favorite place to sleep is curled up in bed in the crux of her foster mom’s knees. To meet Poppy, please contact: foster@fultonanimalservices.com.
To meet Shiloh or Delilah, drop by the shelter, email adoptions@fultonanimalservices.com or call 404-613-0357. To view dogs or cats available for adoption, please visit the shelter at 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, 30318 or go to www.fultonanimalservices.com/adopt.
