Man Fatally Shoots Wife, Self In Johns Creek Home: Police

The couple's son told officers a verbal dispute between his parents led to a shooting at their Johns Creek home, police said.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Police say a man fatally shot his wife, then himself, in a home where their children were present Sunday in Johns Creek.

Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 5300 block of North Hillbrook Trace, Johns Creek Police said Monday.

When officers arrived, they encountered a boy who reported a verbal dispute between his parents led to a shooting, police said.

The responding officers went into the home, where they found 52-year-old Richard Holladay and 43-year-old Martha Holladay deceased.

Police said Richard Holladay shot and killed his wife before taking his own life. The pair died from gunshot wounds to their heads, police said.

Their children are safe, and police said the incident was isolated. A motive was not revealed.
