Marybeth Cooper Qualifies For Johns Creek Post 4 Race
Marybeth Cooper is the current President of the Johns Creek Community Association and has served on its board of directors as Zoning Chair.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Marybeth Cooper, a Johns Creek resident for over 11 years, qualified as a candidate for Johns Creek City Council Post 4.
Cooper said she is running because she cares deeply about Johns Creek and wishes to contribute to the continued success of the city.
"I believe in smart, properly planned development, continued parks and recreation development-utilizing the parks bonds to full potential, and finding and implementing proven solutions for road congestion," Cooper said.

In the community, Cooper has been an active member since moving to Johns Creek in 2008. She
has volunteered at Ocee Elementary, Newtown Tots, Ocee Park, Saint Brigid Catholic Church, and
Bridgeway Christian Academy. She has also volunteered with the American Heart Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Citizens of Georgia Power-a corporate volunteer organization.
For more than 20 years, Cooper has worked for a Fortune 200 company in areas including Information Technology, Operations, Engineering, Accounting/Finance/Treasury, and budgeting.

Cooper is the current President of the Johns Creek Community Association and has served on its board of directors as Zoning Chair since 2017. She is currently vice president of her HOA, having previously served as president for five years.
Cooper lives with her son David, an eighth grader in the Ocee community area.
She joins Adam Thomas, Chris Coughlin (Incumbent) and Kent Altom who have also qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Post 4.
The deadline for Johns Creek residents to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 7. Early voting will be held Oct. 15 through Nov. 1 and early voting locations will be posted on the Fulton County elections website.
Absentee voters can view application information on the Fulton County elections website. Voters can locate their polling place on the Secretary of State website.
