"Moana" Closes Out Movies At Newtown Park Series
The final show in the city of Johns Creek's event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12.
JOHNS CREEK, GA -- "Moana," the popular PG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who leaves her island on a journey to save her people, will grace the screen on Saturday, Aug. 12 to close out the city of Johns Creek's Movies at Newtown Park series.
Inexplicably drawn to the ocean, Moana (voice of Auliʻi Cravalho) convinces the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson) to join her mission, and he reluctantly helps her become a wayfinder like her ancestors who sailed before her.
Together, they make the trek across the open ocean, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds and along the way, Moana fulfills her quest and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

Movies at Newtown Park are free and include pre-show entertainment such as an inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children's activities, giveaways, music, food and drinks.
The Big C's Chicago Kitchen will be the food truck on site. Pre-show activities begin at 7 p.m. and the movie begins after sunset.
