More Than 110,000 Vote Early in Fulton

Fulton County's elections director said the figures have already surpassed the number of votes cast during the same time frame in 2012.

Thousands of Fulton County residents are taking advantage of the dozens of sites open for early voting.

As of Wednesday, 118,123 residents have cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 8 general election, the Fulton County Department of Registration and Election said.

More than 23,000 absentee ballot applications have also been processed by the county.

“So far, we have surpassed the number of early voters compared to the same period during early voting in the 2012 general election,” said Richard L. Barron, director of the Department of Registration and Elections. “We are extremely pleased with the turnout and hope that many ore will take advantage of the remaining 10 days of early voting. The outreach locations at colleges and senior centers have seen a good turnout for the days they are open.”

Fulton County has rolled out 24 early voting locations as well as 12 outreach locations to give residents more opportunities to vote.

“We even posted a webpage that provides the locations, directions and a wait time based on the number of people in line,” Barron added.

Early voting will continue this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 30. Saturday voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday, early voting sites will be open from noon to 4 p.m.

You can also cast ballots next week, Monday, Oct. 31 through Friday, Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The north Fulton County early voting locations are as follows:

  • Alpharetta Branch Library, 10 Park Plaza, Alpharetta
  • Johns Creek Environmental Campus, 8100 Holcomb Bridge Road, Alpharetta
  • Chastain Park Recreation Center, 140 W. Wieuca Road, NW, Atlanta
  • Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library, 9560 Spruill Road, Johns Creek
  • Robert F. Fulton Ocee Library, 5090 Abbotts Bridge Road, Johns Creek
  • Milton Library, 855 Mayfield Road, Milton
  • Roswell Branch Library, 115 Norcross Street, Roswell
  • East Roswell Branch Library, 2301 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell
  • Sandy Springs Library, 395 Mount Vernon Hwy., NE, Sandy Springs
  • North Fulton Service Center (Room 232), 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs
