Movies At Newtown Park Return July 14

"Coco" will be shown on an inflatable screen at the park. Pre-movie activities begin at 7 p.m. and the show kicks off after sunset.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Johns Creek residents are invited to bring their family and friends to the next installment of the 2018 Movies at Newtown Park series.

The next show will be held Saturday, July 14 featuring a screening of "Coco." This vibrant tale of family and adventure follows aspiring musician, Miguel, who embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors.

While on this trip, Hector, a charming trickster, becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.

Movies at Newtown Park are free and include pre-show entertainment such as an inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children's activities, giveaways, and music. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. Please do not bring alcohol or pets. Food will be available from Big C's Chicago Kitchen food truck and Kona Ice.

Activities begin at 7 p.m., and movies will begin rolling after sunset. The Movies at Newtown Park series is sponsored by Northside Hospital, and each title will be announced one week before the show. The final date of the 2018 series is set for Saturday, Aug. 11. Newtown Park is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road.
