Movies At Newtown Park Return June 10
Johns Creek's free, family friendly event will feature the movie "Sing."
JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek's popular Movies at Newtown Park series is just a week away, bringing films and entertainment that's sure to provide something for everyone in your family.
Saturday, June 10 marks the return of the event, will feature "Sing." Set in a world inhabited entirely by animals, "Sing" stars Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) as a dapper Koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times.
Buster is an eternal optimist who loves his theater and will do anything to preserve it. To save his institution, he decides to produce the world’s greatest singing competition. But the competition becomes grander than he anticipates, and its finalists find that their lives will never be the same.

As always, Movies at Newtown Park are free and include pre-show entertainment such as an face painting, children's activities, food, music, drinks, giveaway and an inflatable moonwalk. These activities will begin at 7 p.m. and the movie gets underway at sunset. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. Please do not bring alcohol or pets.
Food trucks are scheduled for each of the Movies at Newtown Park events, so be sure to bring your appetite along. The June 10 installment will feature the Patty Wagon food truck.

Future Movies at Newtown Park dates are Saturday, July 8 and Saturday, Aug. 12. Movie titles, which are rated either G or PG, will be announced a week prior to each event.
