Movies at Newtown Park Series Starts Saturday

The first movie, "Home," will begin at dusk at the park in Johns Creek.

Johns Creek residents are invited to bring the kids, a blanket, lawn chairs and relax under the stars with Oh, a misfit alien and Tip, a girl searching for her mom, at Movies at Newtown Park.

Home is the DreamWorks film is about the adventures of Oh and Tip as he runs from his fellow aliens and she tries to locate her mother. The film is 93 minutes long and is rated PG.

In addition to the films, which are free, Movies at Newtown Park includes pre-show entertainment like inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children’s activities, giveaways, music, food and drinks. Pre-show activities start about two hours before sundown.

The movies start at dusk and are shown on a large inflatable screen. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. No alcohol or pets are allowed in the park.

The movie titles will be announced a week prior to each event. Movies are rated G or PG. The 2015 Movies at Newtown Park series is being sponsored by Northside Hospital.
