Movies At Newtown Park Start June 9 In Johns Creek

The fun gets underway at 7 p.m. with games and activities, and the movie will begin after sunset.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The city of Johns Creek's summer programming is in full swing, and residents are invited to bring their families down to Newtown Park on Saturday to enjoy a free movie on an inflatable screen.

The popular Movies at Newtown Park series kicks off Saturday, June 9 with "The Greatest Showman." The film, inspired by the story of P.T. Barnum (played by Hugh Jackman), follows the visionary who rose from nothing to create a mesmerizing spectacle.

This inspirational film also stars Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya. This bold and original musical is sure to bring you to your feet and have you singing along.

Movies at Newtown Park are free and include pre-show entertainment such as an inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children's activities, giveaways, and music. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. Please do not bring alcohol or pets. Food will be available from Big C’s Chicago Kitchen food truck and Kona Ice. Activities begin at 7 p.m., and movies will begin rolling after sunset.

The Movies at Newtown Park series is sponsored by Northside Hospital, and each title will be announced one week before the show. Future dates are scheduled for Saturday, July 14 and Saturday, Aug. 11. Newtown Park is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road.
