Nature Camps Return To Autrey Mill

Popular camps return with a new Habitat Hunter Camp!!!


Turtle NATURE CAMP for ages 6-11
Campers are introduced to a variety of natural science topics through activities, games, crafts, visits with animals, exploration of our nature preserve, and scientific experiments. Choose from Outdoor Adventure, Jr. Naturalist, Habitat Hunter, or Wild Water camps.

$200 members, $220 non-members
Campers bring a snack and a lunch.

If you are seeking an adventure while exploring the outdoors this camp is for you. Campers will learn about what it takes to survive in the wild. Campers will also meet and learn about our reptiles and amphibians.

Jr. Naturalist:

June 6-10 (pre and after care available)
July 11-15
(pre and after care available)
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Monday - Friday
$200 members, $220 non-members
Campers bring a snack and a lunch.

Campers in this camp will explore the natural world both on land and in water. We will discover many different species of animals that call Autrey Mill Nature Preserve home. Campers will learn the different Kingdoms of animals and how to classify invertebrates and vertebrates.

Habitat Hunters:

June 13-17
July 18-22

9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Monday - Friday
$200 members, $220 non-members
Campers bring a snack and a lunch.

Habitat Hunter participants will learn the essential elements that all animals need to live. We will discover and explore habitats all over Autrey Mill Nature Preserve; on land, in water, and in the air. Campers will also learn about an ecosystem and its delicate balance needed to stay healthy.

Wild Water:

June 20-24 (pre and after care available)
July 25-29
(pre and after care available)
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Monday - Friday

Campers bring a snack and a lunch.

Water Camp is always a favorite with fun water activities and games! This summer campers will also examine the properties of water and discover the importance of the water cycle while exploring the Autrey Mill Wetlands. Each day participants will have “creek time” to explore Sals Creek.
