NCL, Inc. Milton Chapter Hosts Supply Drive for Ruff Dog Rescue of Georgia

MILTON, GA, AUGUST 26—To support one of its 15 partner philanthropies, the National Charity League, Inc. Milton Chapter hosted a drive for Ruff Dog Rescue (RDR) on August 13, during the chapter’s annual round-up event at a community church. The chapter collected and donated more than $2,300 of dog and puppy food, chew toys, flea prevention medicine and puppy pads to support the all-breed, foster-based pet rescue located in Milton.

relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

RDR rescues dogs and cats from Georgia's high/quick kill shelters and places them in foster homes until suitable, permanent homes are found.

Entering its sixth year, the NCL, Inc. Milton Chapter has grown to a membership of more than 260 mothers and daughters. Last year alone, its members served 6,740 hours in community service.

“We were pleased to be able to support RDR in such a plentiful manner at our annual event,” said NCL, Inc. Milton Chapter President Melissa Linscott. “It set the tone for our upcoming year of philanthropic volunteering. The members of this chapter go above and beyond for the organizations with which we partner—and it is inspiring to see the excitement around each of our philanthropies. And the puppies onsite added an extra ‘aww’ factor!”

Currently NCL has more than 230 chapters with 65,000+ members in 26 states. There are eight chapters in Georgia alone. Annually, NCL members from coast to coast volunteer approximately one million hours in their local communities.
