Neighborhood Repaving Makes Strides In Johns Creek
Nearly 5.4 miles of new asphalt have been paved in four neighborhoods.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek continues to make progress in its Neighborhood Repaving Program.
As of late June, the city has wrapped up paving in four neighborhoods, which total nearly 5.4 miles of asphalt.
Crews are in the final stages of resurfacing streets in Sugar Mill, one of the larger subdivisions in Johns Creek with 5.8 miles. Thus far, Johns Creek crews have completed:

- The Enclave at Foxdale
- The Estates at Foxdale
- Amberleigh
- Laurelwoods
Johns Creek has scheduled 26 subdivisions for repaving in 2016, the second year of a multi-year resurfacing program.
Residents are reminded not to park on the street during the repaving process. Citizens should also turn off their sprinkler system between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. And, be advised the contractor may need to temporarily park equipment on the street.

In 2015, the Public Works Department began tackling the long-term program to upgrade the condition of all of the City’s subdivision streets. To protect property values and enhance the quality of life of its citizens, the City strives to ensure its streets and roads are in good repair. A consultant drove a specially equipped vehicle down each of Johns Creek’s streets in 2011 to gauge their conditions.
