NRA Releases Grades For 6th District Candidates
The rankings were determined by the responses each candidate provided to the National Rifle Association.

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund has released its ratings of candidates vying for Georgia's vacant 6th Congressional District seat in the April 18 special election.
The scores were based on survey questions provided by the NRA as well as each candidates' record of policy and advocacy on issues important to the organization. They range from "A+" to "F" in an effort to help voters identify candidates who support the Second Amendment and the NRA on relevant policy questions.
Kurt Wilson, a businessman running for public office for the first time, received a score of Aq.

According to the NRA's website, an Aq rating is given to a "pro-gun candidate" based solely on his and her's responses to its questionnaire and is reserved for candidates who don't have a voting record on gun issues.
"I am proud and thrilled to receive this score from the NRA," Wilson said. "I have unfettered support for the Second Amendment, and we need to protect this right, as well as others, as an onerous federal bureaucracy continues to try to erode our freedom."

Republicans Bob Gray, Keith Grawert, Amy Kremer and Bruce LeVell also received Aq ratings.
Karen Handel, Judson Hill and Dan Moody -- also Republicans -- received A's, a ranking given to "solidly pro-gun candidates" who've supported NRA positions on key issues.
Republicans David Abroms, Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan and William Llop and Democrats Jon Ossoff, Ron Slotin, Ragin Edwards, Richard Keatley and Rebecca Quigg did not respond to the NRA's questionnaire, the organization contends.
