Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- An officer with the Johns Creek Police Department is being recognized for his life-saving efforts at Maya's Mexican Kitchen. According to the department, Lt. Trey Farran performed the Heimlich maneuver on a diner at the restaurant on Medlock Bridge Road in late April. The department has taken the moment to share the proper Heimlich maneuver technique on its social media pages. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The Johns Creek Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at the Kroger on Holcomb Bridge Road. According to the department, three men left the grocery store with more than $100 worth of groceries. The men were reportedly wearing black ski masks and at least one of the men was armed with a pistol. (Appen Media)
- Fulton County Schools is setting new guidelines on cell phone usage for students. Phones will be permitted on school property but their usage will be restricted during the school day. Students are also prohibited from filming illegal activities for distribution, such as a school fight. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
