Parks Bond, T-SPLOST Town Hall Meeting Planned For September

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- If you want to know more about two questions that will be on the November ballot for you to consider, then a town hall meeting planned for this month is the perfect chance for you to get informed.

Mayor Mike Bodker and City Manager Warren Hutmacher are both inviting residents to attend the upcoming meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Johns Creek City Hall.

The bond referendum will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot. If approved by voters, the bonds would raise an estimated $40 million to implement the Recreation and Parks Strategic Master Plan adopted by the City Council in March.

If T-SPLOST referendum is approved by voters outside of Atlanta, the proposed the $.75-cent tax would raise about $569 million over five years.

Each city has identified an approved project list, including extensive collaboration with neighboring cities.
