The segment of Parsons Road had been closed since early January between Hampstead Way to Stonegrove Overlook so crews could replace the bridge over Johns Creek, which is located about .9 miles west of Medlock Bridge Road/S.R. 141.
The new bridge is wider and includes a 10-foot-wide trail on one side and a 5-foot-wide sidewalk on the other side. The old bridge had no room for pedestrians or bicyclists.
