Police Find 15 Kilos of Meth Inside Johns Creek Apartment

A Johns Creek resident has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after police raided an apartment unit last month.

The Johns Creek Police Department and agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration on Nov. 12 executed a search warrant at an apartment unit at the Avonlea on the River apartment complex at 6015 State Bridge Road.
The raid unearthed about 15 kilos -- or 33 pounds -- of meth inside the apartment unit, Capt. Chris Byers with the Johns Creek Police Department said.

Investigators also located $22,000 in cash, two handguns and items needed to complete the manufacturing process of the drug, Byers stated.
Byers added the estimated street value of the drugs recovered is $500,000.
Bladmir Echeverria was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and manfuacturing crystal methamphetamine.
He was booked into the Fulton County Jail, and subsequently released after posting a $280,000 cash bond, Byers stated.
