The proposed design for the McGinnis Ferry Road project includes two lanes in each direction with a 20-foot wide raised median, a 16-foot wide urban shoulder along the north side of road with a 10-foot wide multi-use path and a 12-foot wide urban shoulder along the south side of the road, with a 5-foot wide sidewalk. Stage construction and traffic control devices will be utilized to maintain traffic during construction and may require temporary lane closures.

The project also includes operational improvements to intersections such as turn lanes, revised traffic signals, and reconfiguration of the existing pavement to add two through lanes.
