Qualifying For Johns Creek Elections Set For Aug. 21-23

Three City Council seats as well as the office of mayor are up for re-election in 2017.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- If you thought we were done with elections for the remainder of the year, then you were sadly mistaken. The city of Johns Creek is gearing up for its 2017 municipal elections, which will take place Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Qualifying for the Posts 1, 3 and 5 seats on the City Council and the office of mayor will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Candidates can qualify in the office of the city clerk at Johns Creek City Hall, which is at 12000 Findley Road Suite 400.

The qualifying fee is $450 for each council seat and $750 for the mayoral seat, which is 3 percent of the total gross salary for the preceding year.
