Hooch Student To Play Softball At Valdosta State
Chattahoochee High School's Samantha Richards commits to play softball at Valdosta State University in south Georgia.

JOHNS CREREK, GA -- Chattahoochee High School's Samantha Richards has committed to play softball at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Gulf South Conference. Samantha plans on majoring in Exercise Physiology. Samantha was a four-year starter at Chattahoochee.
Richards was named to the All-Region team all 4 years and was First & Second Team All-Region her junior and senior seasons. Samantha currently holds 4 single season records: batting average, doubles, hits and RBIs.
She also holds five career records: hits, batting average, runs scored , RBIs, walks and is tied for career home runs. Throughout her career at Chattahoochee, Samantha has won numerous honors, including Freshman of the Year, Best Offensive Player and two-time MVP.

Samantha also plays travel softball for the Team Georgia Softball Academy coached by Dan Henning, where her team has qualified for Nationals five years in a row.
