The 180-day calendars continue the trend of the previous years: Spring Break and Thanksgiving holidays align with other metro districts, along with the traditional Winter Break. The proposed calendars also include four days of pre-planning and one day of post-planning for teachers. Additionally, both calendars incorporate a planning day in October.
Before adoption, input on the calendars was sought through the Superintendent’s Parent Council, the Teacher Advisory Council, and the Student Advisory Council. School board members also solicited feedback at their October and November community meetings.
