This elite opportunity is open to School of Rock students and is just one aspect of what makes a School of Rock education so unique. During their weekend in Milwaukee, students learned from mentors who were bandmates of the likes of Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Bon Jovi, and more. Following their intimate lessons, the students showed off their hard work on the same stages as iconic stars such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sheryl Crow, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Weezer, as well as contemporary artists such as P!NK, The Chainsmokers, Ludacris and more.

The 7 local students who toured to Summerfest were Hayden Yard, Alexa Fuster, Ana Diaz, Noah Pappo, Drew Friedman, Ana Elbert, and Trevor Smith.

“This is the 2nd year in a row that we have taken our House Band and their families to Milwaukee Summerfest” said School of Rock – Johns Creek Owner Ben Simms. “It is fulfilling to see these kids practice hard, learn from mentors, and be rewarded by playing on iconic stages. We believe the stage is the best classroom and that we are teaching our students music and life skills. It’s an accomplishment and memory they will cherish the rest of their life.”
