School System Makes Call On Extracurricular Activities For Saturday
A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22 for Johns Creek and North Fulton County.

The Fulton County School System has cancelled extracurricular activities for Saturday.

“Out of an abundance of caution,” all activities scheduled for Jan. 23 have been called off, including field trips, practices and competitions, the system said Friday afternoon.
“The school district will continue to monitor the weather and share updates as appropriate,” the system said.

Fulton County schools late Thursday announced it would be dismissing classes early on Friday, Jan. 22.
Fulton elementary schools dismissed at 12:20 p.m., high schools at 1:30 p.m. and middle schools at 2:05 p.m.
After-school and athletic events on Friday were also cancelled. Parents and students are asked to stay tuned to the system’s website and Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates.
