Secret Gardens Tour On May 12 In Johns Creek

Music performances and artists await garden visitors on Saturday.

In just four days, on May 12th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, the Secret Gardens Tour of Johns Creek will take place at eight fabulous gardens, to the delight of all who will be attending. But, this tour is more than just gardens! It is also exciting presentations by musicians and artists from all over the local Johns Creek area.

Each house will offer a different variety of music and art from both established professionals as well as local high school students. The amount of talent is outstanding, and will create just the right ambiance as you tour the gardens. Imagine painters, harpists, guitarists, keyboardists, violinists, and even a clay hand building demonstration.

Members of the Johns Creek Arts Center Guild will be in attendance at various locations painting in acrylic and watercolors. In addition, we are so fortunate to have been able to engage the talents of the Northview High School Flute Choir, Singchronize - an acapella group from Johns Creek High School along with the quintet Trillium, and the Norcross High School Brass Band, Blue Devil Brass.

A few other fun activities will round out the day. How about a beekeeping demo from Tribble Farms, based in Canton, Georgia? Or, would you like to enter to win tickets to tour Gibbs Gardens? We can also announce that the artist and sculptor who has been commissioned to create a 12'-15' statue for public art display in Johns Creek, will be at one of the gardens on the tour.

Meet Eric Strauss, an exceptionally talented artist, who is internationally known for his intricate works in forged steel. In fact, he is the one who designed and sculpted the large iron gates as Gibbs Gardens...which you can see if you win the tickets to the drawing!
