Serving a Delightful Breakfast & Lunch: Egg Harbor Cafe
It's a long way from Chicago to Atlanta, but that's exactly how far Cassidy Farrell and Michael and Lesley Pierini have come to open the Egg Harbor Cafe.
Located on 141 in the Johns Creek Forum shopping center, you will find the bright and cheery Egg Harbor Cafe. Just opened this past February, it’s one of the newest restaurants in Johns Creek.
Egg Harbor is a family run restaurant that first opened its doors in the Chicago area 26 years ago. Recently they decided to venture south, and managers Michael and Lesley Pierini say that they feel at home already. Lesley Cassidy, of the original Chicago restaurant family, is also a manager here in Johns Creek.
The menu at Egg Harbor is extensive but always fresh. Twice a year it is changed to include seasonal items. Not only do they serve food, but also offer some of their preserves and salad dressings to buy and take home. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and is opened daily from 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

After learning about the restaurant, I was eager to try the food and my favorite thing was a drink — Strawberry Orange Juice. They combine strawberries and fresh-squeezed orange juice for a delicious drink. I’d go to Egg Harbor just for that. But more awaited me.
There was the original Raisin Bread French Toast and Cassie’s Crepes, and so that I wouldn't be treated to breakfast only, I had a Door Country Melt (chicken salad sandwich). My eyes grew bigger every time they brought something to my table. But never fear, I managed to taste everything. I especially enjoyed the chicken salad, which contained dried cranberries, diced apples and pecans. Next time I think I’ll ask for it on plain bread instead of bread that’s buttered and toasted.

At Egg Harbor not only the flavor of the food is important but also its quality. The restaurant serves only cage and hormone free organic eggs.
“We want to keep our customers healthy and safe,” said Michael Pierini. “We want to do the most responsible things.”
They prove that responsibility to their customers by making eco-friendly choices such as using LED lighting and all bio-degradable plastics with their carry out orders.
Speaking of carry out, you can call in and place an order and then drop by and pick it up. Catering is also available. There is a private room, bright and full of windows, that will seat 30-35. There is no charge to use the room but it may only be reserved for groups of 25 or more. Another service offered is free wi-fi. When you go in just ask for the access code. See the website at www.eggharborcafe.com for more info.
Drop by the Egg Harbor Cafe sometime soon for a friendly hello and some breakfast or lunch in one of Johns Creek’s newest neighborhood restaurants.
