SLJC Partners With Johns Creek On Walk To School Program
Student Leadership Johns Creek Group has partnered with the city on a new Walk to School Kick-Off.

JOHNS CREEK, GA - From Student Leadership Johns Creek: After a successful inaugural Walk to School initiative to encourage students to walk to school on Wednesday’s last year, the program will kick off the second year beginning October 10th . The program was a great success last year in part because of a group from Student Leadership Johns Creek who worked in conjunction with Councilman Chris Coughlin on this undertaking as part of their first-year community project. This year a group from Johns Creek High School is working to help make the Walk to School mission their endeavor for community involvement. Ocee Elementary will kick-off the effort on October 10th , Dolvin Elementary students will walk on October 12th and State Bridge will end the kick-off week on October 16th . Look for more information from the city regarding further details.
We encourage all parents and students to walk to school on these days – it is a fun way to enjoy a morning
of family time, while beginning your day actively and reducing the early morning traffic all at the same
time.
