"We all have memories of our prom, and this event ensures that the special needs community has the same wonderful memories," organizers said.

Tickets to the prom are available for $10 each and are available online at www.XenaTheWarriorPuppy.com. Due to the high demand, tickets will not be available at the door so don’t delay. The deadline to purchase tickets is March 1.

To ensure that prom attendees will look amazing from head to toe, event sponsor Lavender Salon & Shoppe in Johns Creek will provide free hair and makeup -- with advance reservations -- for all special needs residents attending the prom.

The salon will open their doors for us from noon to 4 p.m. Feb 26 so citizens can 'shop' for the perfect gown/suit. Stylists will be on-site assisting all prom attendees and a seamstress will be available for free simple alterations.

Organizers are also seeking prom dress, suit jacket, tuxedo and tie donations to suit all sizes, styles and ages for prom attendees.

Donations can be dropped off at Lavender Salon & Shoppe at 11730 Jones Bridge Road in Johns Creek. If you need someone to collect donations, email jonnyandxenaspreadthewords@yahoo.com to make that request.

“Our Prom Spectacular will raise awareness for, and is intended to empower the special needs community," said Linda Hickey, president of the Foundation. "The Jonny & Xena’s Spread the Words Foundation is proud to partner with the Johns Creek Civitan Club for this event. After we adopted Xena, our world changed. This Warrior Puppy who was found clinging to life, beat every single odd against her. She was not only destined to survive and help transform the life of one boy with autism, but I believe she was meant to continue her miracles through service within her community, all while capturing the hearts of thousands from all around the world. Jonny and Xena are truly a match made in heaven and through this blessing, my heart tells me I have to give back and make a difference.”
