Spring Kindergarten Registration Starts March 29

FULTON COUNTY, GA -- Spring kindergarten registration is just a month away for those needing to enroll their little ones into the Fulton County School System.

Registration dates and times will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30.

During these two days, parents of incoming kindergarten students, as well as other new elementary students entering school in August, can register their children for the 2017-2018 school year. Registration will occur at all Fulton County elementary schools, and parents must visit the school their child will attend in the fall to register new students.

In addition, over 1,700 spaces in pre-kindergarten classes are available at 45 elementary schools throughout the county. Pre-kindergarten registration dates vary by school and enrollment is handled by a lottery system.

Parents also can visit the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning's web site, www.decal.ga.gov, to determine the availability of other privately-funded pre-kindergarten program providers.

Dates and times for North Fulton County pre-kindergarten sites are as follows:

• Alpharetta ES: March 8, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Barnwell ES: March 20-21, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Dunwoody Springs ES: March 20, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Findley Oaks ES: March 27, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; March 28, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Heards Ferry ES: March 20, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Hembree Springs ES: March 28, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• High Point ES: March 28, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Hillside ES: March 28, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Ison Springs ES: March 24, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Esther Jackson ES: March 29, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Lake Forest ES: April 17-28, by appointment
• Manning Oaks ES: March 27-28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Medlock Bridge ES: March 20-24, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Mimosa ES: March 20, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.; March 21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Roswell North ES: March 23, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
