Student Leadership Johns Creek Win Secretary Of State Competition

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- For the second consecutive year, Student Leadership Johns Creek won the Secretary of State Ambassadors State Championship.

The Secretary of State Ambassadors Program is a leadership training program for high school students in 10th through 12th grades and encourages civic participation and voter registration.

As part of the competition, which consists of nearly 200 teams from throughout Georgia, Ambassadors earn points for promoting civic engagement, voter registration and volunteerism.

The nine Ambassadors are students at Northview, Chattahoochee, Centennial and Johns Creek high schools: Aamir Khan, Amshu Chakragiri, Cherie Sang, David Hsi, Eliza Imhoff, Jenny Liu, Nikhita Joshi, Sid Balaga and Suraj Peramanu.

“We are proud to have such strong future leaders from our city continue a tradition of exceptional achievements,” Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker said in a release. “These outstanding Student Leadership Johns Creek participants are extraordinary role models and we as a city are honored and blessed to have them represent our community at the Secretary of State’s Student Ambassador Program.”
