Task Force Seeks Feedback On Performing Arts Center In Johns Creek
The deadline to provide your feedback on establishing a visual and performing arts center in Johns Creek is July 19.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Johns Creek Visual and Performing Arts Center Task Force wants your feedback on the possibility of establishing a performing arts center in the city.
The task force, formed by the Cultural Arts Alliance at Johns Creek, embarked on its task earlier this year to study the feasibility of opening a visual and performing arts center. The group, made up of 16 residents, has been studying the advantages of building an arts center "that would provide the community with a cultural hub, increasing the quality of life and also bringing economic growth to Johns Creek."
Residents are asked to take the survey, which is available online. Initial survey results from visual and performing arts organizations and the business community show an "overwhelming need" to have such facilities in the city, organizers said.

"Because parents and other adults are spending hundreds to thousands of dollars every year in cities outside of Johns Creek," the task force notes on its survey page. "And, Johns Creek residents have to cross city lines to enjoy a night of entertainment and a meal – contributing to the pockets of those outside our exceptional city."
While the Johns Creek Arts Center is up and running, these task force members note its existing meeting spaces are very limited and the center is in need of twice the space it current has on hand.
