'Tears, Trains and Twang' Brings Country Music To Autrey Mill

The next installment of the Autrey Mill Unplugged concert series will be held on Saturday, May 21.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The next installment of the Autrey Mill Unplugged concert series returns Saturday with an evening exploring the roots of American country music.

Kathy Reed will bring Tears, Trains & Twang to audiences at 8 p.m. May 21 in the Warsaw Church at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve in Johns Creek.

Reed is a local singer and songwriter, and her passion for country and bluegrass music is apparent through her performances, Autrey Mill said in its announcement.

Tears, Trains, and Twang: The Roots of American Country Music will explore the history of America's most popular genre of music through a cast of characters including cowboys, hillbillies and honky-tonkers.

The evening will begin at 7 p.m. in the Summerour House with socializing and a complimentary lineup of refreshments such as barbecue sliders, banana-chocolate chip pudding and other country favorites.

Tickets are $20 for the general public and $15 for Aturey Mill members as well as Johns Creek residents. You can purchase tickets online or at the door at Summerour House.
