Third Tuesdays Connect Business Owners With Resources
The new initiative organized by Johns Creek Advantage will feature educational sessions on various topics.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Johns Creek Advantage is rolling out a free, educational initiative for startups and business owners.
Third Tuesdays will be held on, you guessed it, the third Tuesday of the month, at various locations throughout the city.
To kick off the series, staff members of the Johns Creek Community Development Department will discuss the city's sign ordinance and some things you may not know about the law from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. July 12 at Masterpiece Mixers, which is located at 11030 Medlock Bridge Road.

Community Development Director Sharon Ebert and Deputy Community Development Director Matthew Dickison will also touch on the proposed noise section of the city's nuisance ordinance as well as answer any questions the proposed change could have on local business owners.

- 8 a.m. Aug. 16, Johns Creek Arts Center (6290 Abbotts Bridge Road): real estate expert & radio talk show host, Cleve Gaddis. Cleve, a Johns Creek resident and business owner, will be explaining current commercial rent rate trends, what makes these trends change over time and how these changes may affect your business.
- 8 a.m. Sept. 20, Abbotts Bar & Grill (10900 Abbotts Bridge Road): a panel of Johns Creek small business owners/operators will success stories, pitfalls and lessons learned. Slated to take part of the panel is a business owner who started their business from scratch; an owner that purchased a business from someone; an owner that opened a second business location in Johns Creek; and one that started their business in their home and then moved to a commercial space. The panelists should be able to provide insight into almost any small business scenario.
- 8 a.m. Oct. 18, Bomgar's New Training Facility (11695 Johns Creek Parkway): this event will cover business finances and to liven up that discussion, JCA will have three panelists, each experts in their respective fields! Vincent Russo, is a crowd-funding expert and Partner at Robbins Ross Alloy Belinfante Littlefield LLC; Adrienne Sipe, director of government guaranteed lending at SYNOVUS; and Chris Spreher, assistant vice president of American Commerce Bank; a bank which specializes in nontraditional small business loans.
Johns Creek Advantage is the economic development organization for Johns Creek. It is a public-private partnership with the city as well as 52 businesses. The group is tasked with the recruitment of new businesses and the retention and expansion of our current businesses.
