Traffic Signal Upgrades Coming To 2 Johns Creek Intersections
City leaders approved a contract for upgrades at Parkway Baptist Church on State Bridge Road and Technology Circle at Johns Creek Parkway.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The Johns Creek City Council on Monday approved a contract to perform two traffic signal upgrades.
The contract with American Lighting and Signalization, Inc. was approved for $476,574.64 to perform the work at State Bridge Road and Parkway Baptist Church as well as Johns Creek Parkway at Technology Circle.
City staff members initially wanted to bid the two signal upgrades as separate projects. However, the city in August received two bids, the prices of which were deemed to be "excessive" by staff members, according to an agenda item report.

Johns Creek decided to re-advertise the projects as one, and received two bids on Sept. 12. The project calls for upgrading the signal at the intersection at the church because of the "poor condition of this aged traffic signal."
The contract also calls for installing a new traffic signal at Johns Creek Parkway and Technology Circle, as a study indicated a signal was needed at the intersection.
