TSPLOST, Parks Bond Town Hall Set For Thursday

The Oct. 27 town hall meeting will be held at Fire Station No. 62 on Rogers Circle.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Another town hall meeting will be held on Thursday to give citizens a chance to discuss two referendums on the Nov. 8 ballot.

The meeting to allow you to ask questions about the city's parks bond referendum, Fulton County's proposed Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax and other issues will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at Fire Station No. 62.

The town hall meeting will take place in the community room at the fire station, which is located at 10925 Rogers Circle in Johns Creek.

If approved by voters, the parks bonds would raise an estimated $40 million to implement the Recreation and Parks Strategic Master Plan adopted by the City Council in March.

If TSPLOST referendum is approved by voters outside the city of Atlanta, the proposed the $.75-cent tax would raise about $569 million over five years.
