Hooch Student-Athlete Signs With Vassar College

Chattahoochee High School senior Gavin Van Beveren will play volleyball at Vassar College.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Chattahoochee High School's Gavin Van Beveren has been accepted and committed to Vassar College to play volleyball. Vassar College is a NCAA Division III school that competes in the Liberty League.

Gavin, a nationally ranked middle blocker has participated in USAV High Performance program. Van Beveren was an AAU All-American and plays travel club volleyball for Carolina Union Volleyball Club out of Charlotte, NC. CUVC has finished with a top 20 national ranking in 18 Open the past two years.

Gavin considered Stanford, Princeton, NYU and Ball State before committing to Vassar. Twin brother, Grant, is committed to play basketball at Wake Forest University.
